ABOUT MOSSY MOUNTAIN HEATHER FLOWER ESSENCE
Our Embrace the Body flower essence employs the healing life force of the Mossy Mountain Heather wildflower from Iceland. Its soft, pink, bell-shaped flowers are often found growing in dense clusters along snow beds, short-grown hollows and moist mountain slopes. The flower hangs its head toward the earth, pointing to its healing therapeutics.
This grounding flower essence enhances our connection to our body and to the earth with the main area of therapeutic action on the dan tian (pelvis), or sacral chakra. It works to bring us into full embodiment and presence within ourselves, in part by helping us to feel the loving sustenance of nature expressing itself through our physical form. Furthermore, it helps us feel more secure and comfortable in our skin by enhancing our appreciation of our body.
It has widespread healing applications. We can think of using this flower essence to heal our relationship with our bodies and physicality itself. For example, it can support the healing of unhealthy eating and body image issues. It can be used anytime we have felt our bodies were trampled on, stressed, and mistreated such as after a jarring car accident, surgery or negative body image behavior. It is very effective when we apply it topically to areas of the body that we feel ‘disconnected’ from, that feel ‘beat up’ or that need more healing loving comfort.

WHAT IS A FLOWER ESSENCE?
A flower essence is a bioenergetic imprint of a flower that has been transferred and stabilized in water. It is the Qi or life force of the flower that has been captured by water. Flower essences work directly on our energetic system such as the acupuncture meridians and are used primarily to address issues involving our emotions, mind and soul and work indirectly to create physical health and balance. Flower essences are a primary treatment for what Traditional Chinese Medicine calls Shen or Spirit. Traditional Chinese Medicine primarily views Shen or Spirit as our psychological health and well-being.
Flowers are much more than a thing of beauty. Each flower is profoundly intelligent and holds specific transformational information found in nature that can help us to know and understand ourselves better, allowing us to shift out of self-limiting, self-destructive patterns and behaviors. Flower essences activate the body's innate healing intelligence which can be especially important if the body has gotten stuck in a chronic pattern of imbalance. Since flower essences are energetic in nature, generally speaking their benefits are not due to a direct bio-chemical interaction with the body but instead they work on the various energy pathways and fields such as the acupuncture meridians to create body, mind and spirit health and well-being.
